It’s been a slow week for me. Just haven’t been feeling energetic.
I did get Angela’s June Backlink packet done almost solely for niche site #6. But today I am on page 6 (#55 – yikes) on Google for my keyword after having been at #11, #25, #16 – alot of movement. Hopefully the site will bounce back better than ever after a few days.
Some of the internal BLs I outsourced have gotten me some traffic and a few adsense clicks, so that is good. I’ve tried to do some of my own deep BLs using SocialBot, but I don’t want to overdo it on deeplinks on the same account. I just signed up for a very interesting backlink WSO but I won’t see results for at least a few weeks. I am very optimistic about the membership though.
eHow earnings seem a bit weird. Articles that used to earn well haven’t despite the fact that I added BLs to all my articles a couple of weeks ago. My articles on Info Barrel have been getting some traffic and I finally got my first adsense click, but I just started some of the backlinks on those and they are only about 3 weeks old so I expect better earnings to come.
I still just don’t get Squidoo. The $40 backlink failure in which I turned all of of the backlinks toward a new Squidoo lens ended up with a Squidoo lens that still hasn’t been indexed! I have seen this with lens I have created, very slow indexing. I’ll have to throw some BLs at it also, but I would have thought it would at least be indexed by now. The other sites created have been.
I also have my first mini-site (sniper) up targeting a clickbank product along with one article at GoArticles targeting the same product. I still need to do backlinks to both. And I’m still confused about the competition for this keyword as it went from 16k to 149k back to 14k today (in quotes). Hopefully the 149k was the wrong number and I have a fighting chance again.
Well, I have a list of things to get done this weekend but I think I’ll be taking a break tonight. Hope everyone has had a more productive week.

How are you getting on with those BLs? Do you do a whole stack in one day? I’ve dedicated a day to building BLs on two occasions now and both times within a day my keywords have gone from Position 2/3 to not being within the top 100! I think I need to start doing 1 or 2 a day instead and wondered what your method was.
My method is fairly haphazard. I spent about 2 weeks adding links every night to one site using Angela & Paul’s packs and my site went from nowhere to Page 2. Then I took a break, started again, and now I am on Page 5??!!
I’m not sure what is good or not based on my experience so I just plan to keep adding links whenever I can. I figure eventually my ranking will stabilize.
With Squidoo, Google seems to ignore lenses that have a lensrank of > than 100,000, no matter how many backlinks you have. It’s like they’ve put in a cut-off filter (I think they assume that spammers won’t bother with the social interaction on Squidoo and will thus do poorly on the lensranking).
To get your lensrank up, log into the Squidu forum (your user name and password are the same as for the main Squidoo site). Put your lens URL in your signature, and then interact in the forum, making a few comments. Other lensmasters will check out your lens and rate you, and you should start to rise in the lensrankings, as long as your lens is not poor quality.
Once you start rising in the lens rankings, Google seems to index you.
