March Earnings

April 4th, 2010 · 3 Comments · My Earnings

I posted my earnings. I was up a bit, but since Feb was a short month it is basically a wash.

eHow saved me. One of my articles there is doing were well and makes up >50% of the earnings.

Otherwise, it’s been a bad week and I am a bit frustrated. I’ll update later.

Well, I see a lot of positives in your earnings this month: 1) You broke the $200 barrier; 2) You AdSense earnings nearly doubled from the previous month and 3) You eHow articles continue to gain in strength. Don’t be discouraged – you are definitely moving forward! :)

Thanks Michelle. I just feel I should be doing better at this point, but yes, at least I am trending the right direction :)

Pshaw! “I should be doing better at this point…” says who?

You do what you can, when you can, when you want – it’s your business. We can’t all be IM superstars like Grizz or Mikeman (who is a Cylon I am sure of it…he is a machine!) – just put one foot forward, worry about what you can do in a day, a week, where you want to be in a month – sometimes just breaking your goals into re-negotiated terms takes some pressure off.

Don’t get discouraged, you have the right stuff, you just need to do what you can and not kick yourself. I think just re-setting your goals a little lower, or re-examining them may alleviate some of the “I should be” frustration.

That sort of thinking (which I am *always* doing to myself, btw) is paralyzing, or can be. So don’t sweat where you “should” be, just focus on where you *are* and then where you want to be by the end of the day, or week.

Cutting the goals down in size can make the elephant-sized goal seem easier to eat.
