So I posted recently that I would not be spending any money on anything because my Paypal account was going dry and I didn’t want to transfer money into it because we were buying a new house, applying for a mortgage, etc. See, this year I plan to spend (reinvest) all my online earnings to build my sites, so I have money to spend but was going to hold off temporarily. Well, there was some new software being launched and just in case there was a great price for only a few days, I decided to transfer $100 into my account to be prepared. But it ends up the software is too pricey and a subscription, so I won’t be getting it but now I have some money to use on other stuff.
But back to the house – we have hit another bump in the road and still don’t know for sure if this deal will go through. We have been negotiating over this house for over a month now and the whole process has really gotten me down. I won’t go into all the details, but let’s just say that right now I could use a little distraction. And since I have been on a restricted diet (luckily) eating a gallon of ice cream is not in the cards, so spending some money sounds like the next best thing.
I haven’t decided exactly what I want to do, but I’ll try to figure that out over the next few days. $100 is chump change for most people but that is alot for me to spend suddenly. In fact, I may only spend $50, we’ll see. But my plan is backlinks, I just need to decide how and to what (site).
Okay, I’m feeling a little better already. I’ll be back with a plan soon.

Carrie,
Maybe you could split it up and do like $50 on back links and $50 for new domains. When you are starting out that is a lot of money until you get over like 5k a month! Good luck with the house I hope you get it!
If it’s MS, there is a limit on the launch price, it’s going up to $77/mo after launch. For some reason, I got an email tempting me to buy it now…but dude. Me gots it.
In any event, I believe there is a 30-day return on it: use it, try it, and love or leave it. I want to say it was $24 and change a month, but unclear if it was all up front or what (as in $297 up front).
I know: This is so bad since it’s like I’m chasing you down for it, but I really think you’d like the all in one nature of it — and you *don’t* have to buy it of course!
I’m buying AR from you, starting w/the $10 credit (per your suggestion), I’m super excited to see how it goes!
I’m personally stopping outsourcing my articles for now: every single time I’ve done my own, I get more traction, more links, more clicks, more sales. Will have to find a good writer for future use…
Where did you get your VA from, btw?
Hey! You’re not an affiliate of AR? I cleared my cookies…let me try that again.
Hey Kelly, I’m not building any new sites for awhile. I need to rank the ones I have to see what is working. My long-term plan is just to have a handful of sites, some being large.
James, I really just don’t need MS. I have multiple pieces that do alot of the same stuff. Plus, since I my plan is to have only 10-20 sites total, I don’t think I would use it enough to justify the price tag.
If I were to buy something expensive it would probably be UAW. Too many people swear by it.
Thanks for signing up to AR. I just checked and I see you there. Hope you like it.
I think you’re being smart with the money. There is often a pressure to buy into these tools and the next new thing, but you don’t need them all. Plus you can also outsource submissions if you wanted. It’s good to spend your money wisely especially in these stages

My bad, I thought that’s what you were referring to – did you get the email re: Web20Bot from Incansoft?
Creates Web 2.0 properties and dirt cheap — it’s not available from their catalog yet, but that thing seems to work just fine.
I bought it when I got the email for $14.95, if you didn’t get the email I’ll send you the link. And no, I’m not an aff for them!
I just realized how tacky that seemed, btw, and I really thought you were referring to MS which is why I brought it up. I pretty excited about the web 2.0 stuff: reading Sara’s comments from John Dale (BLP) is interesting: building the web 2.0 for her site and the links showing up.
Vewwy intewesting…
Yeah. Meant to say “I’m pretty excited.” ha ha…dork!
James, you have me so confused now. I was referring to MS, but in past tense. I was thinking of buying BEFORE I knew the price tag. Had it been a one-time $97 I would have considered it, but I don’t need it enough to pay the monthly or yearly fee.
Yeah, I had the Web2.0 bot but Incansoft is so hit or miss I figured it’s probably just easier to stick with manual. Don’t do that much there either.
Oh, and don’t have a VA. Not sure if that question was directed to me or not but answered anyway
Ok, lots of grammatical errors in that last comment, but I think my drift can be caught? I type slower than I think.
I thought I read a comment of yours on Passive Income Online (Michelle’s) re: a VA — don’t worry about being confused, it’s all me: 60 hours at day job +45 and counting online = …. :/ ?!
The Web20Bot is working on my end – it’s the first edition, though, so it’ll be a bit glitchy first, but with the new submission engine it seems to work fine.
Judging from what John is doing at Backlink P.I., building the web 2.0′s works — and simplifies the process w/Incansoft.
Anyhoo, sorry for being a bugger. Gotta run like Forrest.
James, we end up chatting on your blogging and commenting on the same other blogs so I can’t keep things straight myself. No worries.
But you have confused me again. What does Web2.0Bot have to do with BP? I think of BP as doing forum and profile links whereas I thought WebBot submitted article to Web2.0 sites like Squidoo, etc. I’m missing the conncetion.
When you have time, I’m here
Grammar errors again! Sorry!!
EDIT: I’m a moron. Just realized I can edit my comments.
Ah – you should read Sara’s post on the update for the 400 BP trial she’s doing — I’m pretty sure you read/commented there and no, I’m not stalking — anyhow, John Dale (Daley?) of BP mentioned that he had created some Web 2.0 properties for Sara on one of her sites for which they were creating the 400 profile links.
He had an interesting observation, which tells me he’s the real deal, that they had to create various Web 2.0 properties for her site to give the site a varied backlinking profile.
Otherwise, he says the link juice from the profile backlinks goes down. So, a variety of links = more success, can’t have all the eggs in one basket per se.
Social Bookmarks
Profile links
Blog Comments
Articles
Web 2.0 Sites…
Mix it up and your link juice has more vitamin “L.” for…”link…” hm.
Ahhh. Thanks James, I hadn’t seen John’s comments on Sara’s blog. Now I understand.
He mentioned it was really something they did for the bigger packages just because the link profile looks skewed.
(Oh, 1,000 profile links *don’t* look funny?)
I’m all for BP…just $$$ — would have to be a major site or would have to be making some serious income. Right now, this is a well-paying hobby for me looking at the numbers.
