So I thought the house we bid on was out, but we did get another counteroffer from the sellers. Still too high so it doesn’t look like this deal will happen. I’m okay with that, but it has been an ongoing distraction.
I always thought of myself as pretty driven, but working at home for yourself is difficult. It’s actually easier to be productive when you have a boss expecting stuff. That’s not to say I am a complete slug, I do get stuff done, but I really expected to be working harder. Instead I find I can get in a good 4 hours before I start to lose interest. I think I’m okay with that for now, it’s just funny.
But I did make up a little spreadsheet of what I need to do with each of my sites over the next few months. I’m still not sure about execution, but at least I have a plan I feel okay with. I’d share but I’m actually on a different computer.
Well, at least I got the house cleaned today. Tomorrow I’ll get back to work!

I’m not surprised you’ve been distracted! And you have such a good point about being driven but still working at home is challenging in so many ways. This is what I always try to explain to people – you have to learn SO much not only about the business you’re doing but just about how to work. Something I don’t think people seem to understand when I speak to them.
