I have added my earnings for May. My eHow earnings had a nice increase and I also had an increase in adsense (only on one niche site) although the total is still quite small.

Yesterday I checked the ranking for my main niche site which I have been spending the majority of my time on and it was at position #11 (very top of page 2) for my keyword. Yeah! Now let’s see if it sticks. I added a few high PR backlinks last night but will be taking a little break as I outsourced some backlinking for this week.

This year I have only been spending what I earn, which isn’t much. The majority of my earnings come from my personal site which I don’t track here, but it’s small. Instead of just haphazardly spending (especially on WSOs) I decided to set up a budget and spending plan for June. Here is what I came up with ($150 total):

1. Social Bookmarking, 2 inner pages of Niche Site #6 = $16
2. Social Bookmarking, 1 inner page of Niche Site #7 = $8
3. Social Bookmarking, Homepage of Niche Site #1 = $8
4. Web 2.0 article/account creation = $40
5. Test Article for Niche site #13 = $5
6. Test Rewrite for Niche site #13 = $5
7. Test Articles for Potential Sniper Site = $7.50
8. Rewrites for Niche Sites #6 & #13 = $60

All the budget items are already spent except the last item (8) although still waiting on delivery for most. Items 2 & 3 are a small effort to get a little extra traffic to those site for low competition keywords since I have no time to spend on them at the moment. The rest of my budget is largely targeted to niche site #6 and #13, niche site #6 being the farthest along and niche site #13 having good potential since I found a good keyword domain.

Also, I mentioned in my last post that I bought some new domains for potential sniper sites, but I will only focus on one for now. In going through the sniper material again I realized that I goofed on my keyword selection, so the sites will be more like quasi-sniper sites. If item 7 works out, I’m hoping to get the first site up soon.
