It is great to see you getting back down to business and coming up with a solid plan. I think what you are talking about is where we all need to be steering our ships, so to speak.

I tend to look at niches with 6k+ searches per month (exact). I don't want to deal in these really micro 1k niches (except for testing purposes). They are just not that profitable and I am not like mike where I am willing to create and manage 200+ sites at $1 per day. That's just nuts.

I've had adsense sites before with 8k or so monthly exacts that earned anywhere from $7-$15 a day. I think that is a good range to focus on as long as the adsense ads are good and look like ones people would click on (for instance "KW half off!")

Anyways, glad your back posting and I look forward to seeing how your new plan works out. Stay motivated! If you start to get discouraged or sidetracked, come talk to the rest of us, maybe our little community can keep each other focused haha.

Carrie, What back linking programs have you used for the site that is a PR3? I am thinking about doing that FTS.

My Husband and I decided on the 9th house we looked at, we were lucky the process went smooth. Since we moved out of State he had to get the next house for us because I was unable to come-that will never happen again! ;-)

I've considered flipping some of my older sites but since they don't earn, they wouldn't be worth much. But I still wonder if I built up some easy backlinks and could gain a little PR, maybe I could sell them off eventually. For now it doesn't cost much to hold and wait.

Sorry you just lost a big gig, Ruth. Hopefully you can fill that spot soon.

I am exactly the same with my older sites. I am trying to develop a strategy where I'm constantly making new sites then flipping the ones I don't want for some extra outsourcing money. I have just lost a big client gig and I am panicking about earning enough and have completely lost my momentum. I think I need to come up with a good goal too - give me something to look forward to.

I agree that making sites for real visitors is the way to go. I made this decision too recently, but have yet to go back and improve my old sites. I think I should get onto it!
