I am a working mom trying to build up an online income for my expected departure from the workforce in the near future. Luckily, I do not need to completely replace my income when I leave the rat race, but I do have a goal to make a consistent monthly income from my online pursuits.
My main interest is passive income. I want to create a series of niche websites which will generate an ongoing income from programs like adsense with minimal upkeep. I started my first niche sites at the end of September 2008 and will be tracking my progress with these sites on this blog. I am also investigating other revenue-sharing sites (like eHow and Info Barrel) to supplement my efforts.

Thanks for stopping by, Justin. eHow was a revenue-sharing article site like Hubpages or Info Barrel but they closed down that aspect of the business.
If you had articles there they continue to earn but you cannot write new articles for revenue-sharing. You can write for eHow for upfront payments through Demand Studios but that is a different ball game and not something I have been interested in.
You need to write the encyclopedia of revenue-sharing sites, Carrie.
Your brain should hurt.
I also read recently about Consumer Search – up to $350 a review. Sound like a maybe plan, if it came down to some “now” money.
I actually don’t know that many. I’ve seen a list before and there were a lot I had never heard of. I’m sure a large majority get no traffic.
